I’ve been using antibacterial wipes since college and as long as I lived on my own before getting married and THEN, I continued to use them to clean our home! Along came my first child in 2007 and I was STILL using them. They made me sneeze and did quite a number on my ssssssinuses! (Who remembers Kaa the snake in The Jungle Book? 🙂 I was still using them when my second child was born. I also had to wear gloves when I used them because my skin was allergic to them. I cleaned this way until 2014. I THOUGHT I was doing a good job! I THOUGHT that I was actually thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting my surfaces and doing good for my family. Just like many other mamas out there. Then one day I need a product to clean my husbands funky work shirts. You see, he owed a pool business. Maintenance and repair. In the heat of the summer the amount of man funk on those shirts is beyond description. As I searched allllll the homemade options, all the pinterest recipes to get white WHITE, I kept coming across the name Norwex. Once I learned it was a direct sales company, I QUICKLY moved on, because they are all pyramid schemes and scams right?!? And I wanted NOTHNG to do with that and definitely nothing that was going to require an auto ship every month and charge me a fee to be able to purchase. THEN my friend invited me to a party. She said “I know this sounds lame but I’m having a party with a company that sells cleaning products and I really think you would like it.” I asked what it was and she said Norwex. Immediately I said, ok, I’ll do that! (Knowing that I wanted to try the Detergent!). I ended up purchasing the Household Package that is comprised of the Envirocloth, Window Cloth and Dust Mitt. And of COURSE I bought the Laundry detergent! I could’t wait for it to arrive. As soon as I got it, I ran about 3 inches of water in my stainless sink and put a couple teaspoons of detergent in and dump one of my husband’s work shirts in it. Within seconds the water began to turn brown! Keep in mind this was after I had tried every product and homemade concoction possible to get this clean to no avail. I was AMAAAAAAAAZED. While it was soaking, I began to clean my stainless refrigerator with the Envirocloth. At first I thought I had ruined the surface! It looked streaky! The product I use to use was a specific stainless appliance cleaner that only left the surface with a greasy film that certainly did NOT prevent fingerprints. I contacted the consultant that I purchased from and she suggested I put a little laundry detergent in a spray bottle with water, spray it on my Envirocloth and wipe the fridge down. What was happening is my Envirocloth with JUST water was removing LAYER upon LAYER upon LAYER of cleaning products that I had used for years prior. The laundry detergent did the trick! Ya’ll, I cleaned until about 1:30 AM. I was like “what can I clean next?? This is so much faster and easier!” It wasn’t long after that I chose to host my OWN party because my wish/WANT list was bigger than my budget! I learned that hosting a party was the best way to get lots of Norwex-y goodness for FREE. Before the party was over, I jumped in to be a Consultant!
